Californian Nat Young wins the 1st edition of QS 5000 Pro Taghazout Bay
 
 
The first QS 5000 Pro Taghazout Bay surfing competition in Morocco, which took place the week of January 25 to February 1 on the mythical spot of Pointe des Ancres in Taghazout, hosted the best surfers in the world.
 
The Californian won against the Peruvian Alonso Correa with 18.34 points against 16.03 for the Peruvian.
 
Young hit hard from the first series with a first wave rated at 9.67 on a beautiful right, before starting again later with a wave at 8.67 that left no chance to Alonso Correa to catch up.

Nat Young is an American professional surfer born on June 17, 1991 in Santa Cruz, California.
The surfer Nat Young began on the circuit as a wild card in 2006 at the age of 16 years and then joined in 2010.
In 2013, he joined the Championship Tour, the elite of world surfing.
He took his first QS win in 2012 at the Vans Pier Classic in California.
He was elected Rookie of the year in 2013.
